The Perfect Picnic

Summer is officially here! What better way to kick off the season than to plan the perfect picnic? With these beautiful blue skies and sunny weather, there's no doubt nature is asking you to come out and play! Picnicking is a classic summer past time. In fact, did you know July is National Picnic Month? We're showing you what to pack for the perfect picnic that your friends and family are sure to enjoy!

Whether you're traveling to the local park or beach, or staying in your own backyard, you're going to love our Mason Jar Salad 101 and other summer favorites!


Foxy veggies make for some of the perfect crudités! Crudités are a traditional French appetizer consisting of sliced or whole raw veggies. We suggest packing some Foxy Celery and Celery Hearts, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Fennel and Asparagus spears for your picnic! For a complete list of what we grow, click here!

Mason Jar Salads

Mason jar salads are a simple and portable way to bring the most delicious salads to your picnic!

Layer the following ingredients in this order:

Follow steps 1-5 and refer to Mason Jar Salad 101!

1. 2-4 tbsp. dressing of choice

2. Hard veggies (Foxy Broccoli, Cauliflower, Celery, Celery Hearts, carrots, bell peppers, etc.)

3. Soft veggies (tomatoes, onions, avocado, etc.)

4. Protein (cheese, meats, beans, hard-boiled eggs)

5. Leafy greens (try Foxy BroccoLeaf, Organic Green Kale, Romaine, Iceberg, Green Leaf and Red Leaf Lettuce)
