Lettuce-Wrapped Homemade Burgers

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp grainy mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced
- 8 leaves Foxy Green or Red Leaf Lettuce
- 4 slices prosciutto
Caramelized Onions:
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Pinch granulated sugar
Preparation
- Caramelized Onions: In skillet, melt butter over medium heat; cook onion with salt and sugar, stirring often, for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grate well. Mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, garlic, Worcestershire Sauce, mustard, salt and pepper.
- Divide beef mixture into 4 balls and shape into 1-inch thick patties. Grill for about 8 minutes per side or until grill-marked and cooked through. Top each with one-quarter of the cheese; cover and cook for 1 or 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Top 4 of the lettuce leaves with slice of prosciutto. Top with burger and onions; sandwich with remaining lettuce leaves.
