Sweet and Sour Broccoli with Chicken

Serves: 4


  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ΒΌ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha 
  • 1 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 
  • 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce 
  • 2 chicken breasts, cubed
  • Salt and pepper 
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced 
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced 
  • 2 heads of Foxy broccoli, cut into florets 
  • 1 cup of shredded or julienned carrots
  • Green onions for garnish 
  • Sesame seeds for garnish 


  1. Whisk together sesame oil, honey, sriracha, vinegar and soy sauce. Set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. 
  3. Heat coconut oil in a large wok or skillet over medium heat. Add ginger and garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add chicken to skillet and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. 
  4. To the same wok, add broccoli and carrots. Cook for 2-3 minutes until soft. 
  5. Pour sauce over chicken and broccoli mixture. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a large serving and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
